When Kenya promulgated the new Constitution a decade ago, it beckoned infinite possibilities for many Kenyans, especially those long marginalized in the north. In terms of symbolic and practical value, the event was synonymous with Kenya's independence in 1963 #Katiba10YearsLater
For the people of Northern Kenya, who have experienced state brutality and wanted to secede before independence, the new Constitution carried a far deeper meaning. It represented new self-rule. #Katiba10YearsLater
