In 1932 Russia committed genocide of #Ukraine called #Holodomor. It’s man made starvation. Голод = hunger. They killed 7 million people in one year.
Here is what they did
1. They first confiscated all farms as part of state property. They forced farmers to work in exchange for not being jailed or executed. They set unreasonable quotas that could not be met, resulting in confiscation of grain.
2. Russia passed law that made it illegal to have or own grain. Any grain, even morsel taken, was theft from state punishable by gulag or execution.
