The first thing to note is that with regard to process, this paper is a bit weird: Germany has a national #AI strategy (which mentions military AI in *one sentence*) but no military #AI strategy for the whole of the Bundeswehr. However, now there is this paper for the Army.

I started reading France's new military #AI strategy yesterday. The thread is here:

We are now in the "Feuille de route" bit. Which starts with ethics. [2]
The strategy affirms #France's position in the lethal autonomous weapons debate (#killerrobots): "France does not intend to develop fully autonomous systems that totally escape human control." [3]
