Is it safe to say so much of what we have come to love (and hate) about Ontario will be forever changed on Thursday night?
As a Dad of young children, & teacher, I'm struggling with what a PC majority might mean for school communities, the environment, and our health care system.
I have knocked on doors, made phone calls and talked with friends and neighbours. I am voting with a few on Thursday in order to help get out the vote, but I'm afraid it won't be enough.
At this time, I really think the only chance we have of stopping Ford and his PCs is to swallow our preferred party pride, check our hearts, and vote for the candidate most likely to defeat the PC candidate, riding by riding.

I’m a pretty new resident of #KitchenerCentre, but it’s obvious that something noteworthy happened here over the past couple of months – and the past couple of years – that saw @MorriceMike elected last night. It’s something that #cdnpoli, #onpoli & beyond should take note of. 🧵
In this riding, it seems that HOW a candidate shows up, serves their community and campaigns has proven to be as (or more) important as WHAT the candidate stands for.
To me, Mike’s victory is a triumph for a #leadership of humility, open-mindedness, respect, and grace – alongside a mandate to advocate for #affordablehousing, access to #healthcare, a livable #climate, etc.

A snap election called during a pandemic was bound to deliver intrigue. Here is a brief look at 5 of the notable winners and losers from #Elxn44.

Winner: Jenica Atwin, the Green Party floor-crosser who joined the Liberals just three months before the election, held a small lead with most polls reporting. Atwin made a major breakthrough for the Greens in 2019 as their first MP from Atlantic Canada.

Winner: In #KitchenerCentre, the Green Party appeared to have made a long-awaited Ontario breakthrough, thanks in part to a Liberal party candidate withdrawing from the race. Mike Morrice looked set to win with roughly 33 per cent of the vote.

Just had a very nice chat with one of my local candidates for #Elxn44 in #KitchenerCentre.
It was @morricemike of the @CanadianGreens.

He does bookable short calls with voters to talk about issues. Great idea and shows a lot of confidence.

After watching some debates between local candidates I've decided to vote Green. So I wanted to explain a bit why if others are having trouble deciding.

You see, #KitchenerCentre is a complicated riding to say the least. It has historically flipped between Libs and Cons but...
...more recently has been a Liberal stronghold. Now that Liberal candidate Raj Saini has stepped down from campaigning, it throws open the doors for a flip. But it's tricky because Saini is *still* on the ballot.
How many people will realize? What will they do?
