1/ Interesting to see how the libertarians and fascists are united in hatred of masks and lockdowns. The libertarians have a sociopathic lack of care for other people. The fascists hate these measures because they can only understand them in terms of authoritarian domination.
2/ And that's part of why the libertarians and fascists both supported Brexit, because neither group can understand or appreciate working together for the common good. Both groups experience unselfish cooperation as humiliating oppression.
3/ Democracy only works when individuals and groups cooperate to maintain it. That's an ethos which libertarians and fascists loathe and despise, and it's why they are now united in an international kleptofascist movement that is attacking democracy.
1/ Hugely influential right-wing economist James Buchanan regarded democracy as a parasite preying on the wealthy. He advocated crippling democracy through stealth tactics. #Brexit is a perfect example of those tactics in action.

2/ Buchanan was not the only one who regarded democracy as a parasite preying on the rich. The same view was shared by Rees-Mogg's father William Rees-Mogg, who outlined how the global super-rich could take control from nations. His son is faithfully carrying out his program.
3/ This is the kleptocratic side of what I call "kleptofascism". But a tiny super-rich elite requires people to do their work for them, so employing Buchanan's stealth tactics they are using popular fears and anxieties & far-right politicians to undermine democratic states.
