कोझिकोड विमान दुर्घटना
कोविड-१९ या जागतिक महामारीने सर्वत्र थैमान घातले आहे. त्याचाच एक प्रतिबंधात्मक उपाय म्हणून पंतप्रधानांनी भारतात लॉकडाऊन जाहीर केला. कोविड-१९चा वाढता प्रादुर्भाव पाहता इतर देशातील भारतीय नागरिकांना सुखरूप घरी आणण्यासाठी "वंदे भारत मिशन" ही योजना आखली गेली.
कोविड-१९ या जागतिक महामारीने सर्वत्र थैमान घातले आहे. त्याचाच एक प्रतिबंधात्मक उपाय म्हणून पंतप्रधानांनी भारतात लॉकडाऊन जाहीर केला. कोविड-१९चा वाढता प्रादुर्भाव पाहता इतर देशातील भारतीय नागरिकांना सुखरूप घरी आणण्यासाठी "वंदे भारत मिशन" ही योजना आखली गेली.
या मिशनमध्ये दुबई, फिलिपिन्स, अमेरिका, मलेशिया, बांग्लादेश, कुवैत, सौदी अरेबिया, सिंगापूर इत्यादी देशात अडकलेल्या भारतीय नागरिकांना सुखरूप आणण्याची जबाबदारी Air India Limited या भारत सरकारच्या कंपनीकडे दिली गेली. या मिशन अंतर्गत आता पर्यंत ६लाख ८७हजार लोकं सुखरूप घरी परतले.
मिशन अंतर्गत ५व्या टप्प्यात दुबई आंतरराष्ट्रीय विमानतळ येथून Air India Ltd चे AXB1344, बोइंग 737 विमानाने १९० लोकांना घेऊन उड्डाण केले.विमानात १८४ प्रवासी होते ज्यात १०लहान मुले,६ टीम मेंबर ज्यात २ पायलट यांचा समावेश होता विमानास कोझिकोड आंतरराष्ट्रीय विमानतळ इथे लँड करायचे होते.

this is Tabletop runway , next to gorges. Expert like #MohanRanganathan has already mentioned 10 years back that this airport is not safe for landing.

#AirIndiacrash: 17 dead, rescue operation completed, says #Kozhikode collector Sambasiva Rao: "Rescue operation is completed and all the passengers are taken into safe custody. Out of 190, 110 people are admitted into 7 hospitals in Kozhikode. In that, 11 deaths occurred." 1/4
Collector: Remaining 80 people are admitted in Malappuram hospitals. In that, 6 deaths occurred. (the patients are being admitted to 13 hospitals). Most of those in the front rows seem to be severely injured... (Of the patients) there are a few serious cases also
