The Feed 150 Families in Kunar fundraising campaign provided food packages to 36 widows and 111 Ultra-Poor Families in Kunar plus six more packages were given to families in distribution site. Overall 1094 individuals were supported of which more than 60% were children.

My team went to Tango Camp, a village where more than 400 families live. 50 families (15 widows & 35 ultra-poor families) were identified. The team will continue identifying more families for the food drive and will be added to this #Thread

According to the below tweet& video, as a result of the #Kunar governor& local tribal elders' efforts, 25 alleged #ISKP loyalists, realizing the legitimacy of the IEA, renounced their opposition& pledged allegiance to the officials of the Islamic Emirate.

In another great step by the #Afghan government, #ISKP have blocked cellular communication in districts of #Kunar. Under the threat of a "military" operation, #IS forces have threatened to block up comm towers.
