I see a lot of commentary about the @NHSEngland paper on the future of integrated systems. Here is a perspective based on what is happening NOW rather than on some conceptual future - a hugely exciting agenda and one that is right in front of you @WYHpartnership

Breaking: @CQCpressoffice analysis of deaths in care find a threefold increase in deaths of those with a #learningdisability during the pandemic in comparison with last year #covid19
Figures released today by the @CQCpressoffice show between 10 April and 15 May 386 people died - 206 from #coviv19 - compared to 165 during the same period last year
Some of these patients will have had autism, but there isn't a clear number for those with autism alone (but this is true of all the data sets so far)

'During the influenza epidemic, mortality among ppl with ID [learning disability] increased almost three times as much than in the GenPop (15.2% vs. 5.4%), and more among male individuals with ID (+19.5%) than among female individuals with ID (+10.6%), as compared with baseline'
'In both cohorts, comparable increases in mortality within older age groups and due to respiratory causes were seen. Particularly in the ID‐cohort, excess deaths also occurred in younger age groups, due to endocrine diseases and ID‐specific causes' #EveryDeathCounts
