[Puts on editor hat] #writers, PLEASE believe you will have more ideas and good ones at that. Getting a rejection is not the end all be all of your career or ideas. Every publication is different, every editor is different. There are more chances.
As I say, repeatedly, I give VERY specific feedback when I reject something. It can be as simple as the subber NOT reading the publication or as thorough as the piece not working for various reasons.
One rejection does not mean ALL your ideas are bad from here on out. Unless you were incredibly disrespectful to an editor--which I hope you aren't--you *can* pitch them again.
