The majority of Americans believe marijuana should be legalized. So why isn’t it?

The fact is there are a lot of corporations that profit off the millions of Black & brown people put in prisons & jails bc of nonviolent drug offenses. #LegalizeIt #420Day

Let’s remember that even “public” prisons have profit-based incentives for criminalizing marijuana and targeting Black and brown communities.
Needless to say, our elected leaders need to #LegalizeMarijuana. But that’s not all. They must expunge records of those who've been unjustly incarcerated, end the war on drugs that ravages marginalized communities & get rid of profit-based incentives in the criminal legal system.

This was what I worried would happen with @Booker4KY. Not be on the offensive with @RandPaul, who's an abysmal, but only on the defensive when need to. Just like the @KyDems always do, which is a losing strategy. But Booker's running on policies that are materially popular!!!
Here's a fun fact about running in an election... If you run as an Aggressive & Offensive Candidate with Policies that help the People & their Material Well-being, then you win.
Here's how I know; In the 2015 Midterms, @AlanGrayson of the @FlaDems, he won with no problem. He was unapologetic when being a "#Progressive", stands up with his Principles & goes for the Jugular in Political Ads at his Opponents on how their Policies are Wrong, Evil & Bad &...

He @Booker4KY, want any ammo to go after @RandPaul for stuff that's useless? Because this can help.
I mean from a Self-declared "#Libertarian", who seriously isn't he's #SocialConservative at best, it's not hard to dig up dirt on @RandPaul of his Voting Records. Like the 2016 Tax Bill that gave more money to the #Rich, Supports Banning #Abortion (which isn't Libertarian),...
Opposes #LGBTQIA Rights like Same Sex Marriage & wanted it to be banned, Rand is inconsistent on #MilitarySpending of sometimes leaning to not for it or for it in offensive wars (which many Libertarians call that out & believe in Defense of a Direct Threat of an Attack)...

If we really want to improve the economy, lower addiction and crime we need to legalize marijuana. Legalizing marijuana nationwide would create at least $132 billion in tax revenue and more than a million new jobs across the United States in the next decade.
The Federal government of the US spends about $3.16 billion every year to enforce cannabis laws. If marijuana were removed from the list of controlled substances, fewer court cases, resulting in fewer incarcerations, and, in turn, more money saved.
States who already have legalized marijuana have received upwards of $1B in tax revenue, that was used to fix roadways, schools etc.. And addiction would decrease by over 20%. #LegalizeMarijuana
