I'm 45 yo lesbian. I left my country because of homophobia (it's not just mocking, harrasment, lesbians were/are raped in the name of "re-education"). I was told by men that I haven't met the right man yet. Now men who identify as lesbians tell me I haven't tried their girldick. 
2)That gay man doesn't feel threatened by straight women who identify as gays & because he doesn't feel threatened he has no problem to let men in the lesbian spaces, organizations, events, groups, apps etc. He supports our erasure. The only letter in LGB he cares about is G.

I realised I was gay when I was 15. Which was... sometimes difficult, especially growing up with half my family believing being gay was one of the worst sins someone could commit.
But love is love, right? And I’m so lucky to have *so much* love in my life. 💖

There was no #LesbianVisibilityDay when I was 16.
I was expelled from my all-girls high school for being a #lesbian & put in a mental hospital for #conversiontherapy.
I became an #LGBT activist to prevent that from happening to other girls like I was.

On #LesbianVisibilityDay I memorialize every #lesbian who died hidden in the shadows because of #homophobia, who was forced into compulsory heterosexuality, who was made to live a lie. You deserved better and we honor you by making a safer world for lesbians now, today. Amen. 💜
One of America's greatest poets was a #lesbian--#AdrienneRich. When she died March 27, 2012, I wrote this tribute to her, illuminating her work and life.
