Entre el 2 de marzo de 2020 y el 11 de abril de 2021, se presentaron 70.848 muertes por #COVID19 confirmado y 16.464 por #COVID19 sospechoso. Entre la semana 10 y la semana 14 de 2021, la proporción de defunciones por COVID-19 confirmado pasó de 0,8 % a 2,5 %. 
📌 El 63,7 % de las defunciones por #COVID19 confirmado ocurrieron en hombres.
📌 Del total de defunciones por COVID-19 confirmado, el grupo etario de 55 y más años concentra el 86,1 %. Las defunciones en menores de 20 años representan el 0,4 %.

Para enero de 2021 se registraron en promedio 1.071 defunciones diarias por causas naturales, 87,6 % más de lo esperado según los registros históricos de 2015-2019. Este comportamiento fue similar al presentado en agosto de 2020, cuando hubo un exceso de mortalidad de 89,7 %.
