I grew up told the world would never accept me. The internet was my refuge, where I could pretend I was a “normal” cis woman. For the past ten years, I’ve kept up this act, watching the world change, waiting for the day I felt like I could come out. Bam! That’s today. (2/12)
I’ve misled close friends, kept things from people who would never keep things from me, and I’m sorry to anyone who feels like I was deceptive. I thought I wanted to forget being trans, but I understand now it’s a part of my identity I’m not afraid to love anymore. (3/12)
