One year ago today, COVID-19 was declared a 'Pandemic.'

We had already seen the images of people collapsing on the streets of Wuhan, the headlines of cases skyrocketing globally, and the doomsday modelling if we didn't do something NOW. 1/13
Hindsight is 20/20 and we can all agree that COVID-19 is truly a fierce pandemic. A year later, we have witnessed a pandemic of fear-mongering, overdose, suicide, depression, loneliness, financial ruin, censorship, and social engineering of epic proportions. 2/13
This pandemic declaration unleashed the swiftest, tactical PR blitz we have ever seen. Time has a way of dulling our senses to change, even when it's extreme, yet subtle. 3/13

(1/3) Moments ago, Government House Leader @PaulCalandra denied my Motion for unanimous consent to move forward with my Bill to cut MPPs pay to CERB level. He then sought and passed a motion to cut my pay instead. I remained silent for fear of conflict of interest. Cont' #onpoli
(2/2) @PaulCalandra decided to make a joke out of the situation. As 400k Ontarians have not resumed work, 153k jobs lost in January alone, people are desperate as they lose homes, life savings & businesses, the @OntarioPCParty Government said to them "Let them eat cake". #onpoli
(3/3) The fault for @PaulCalandra 's behavior is squarely with Doug Ford. Calandra should not lead the Gov in the House. His office email is paul.calandra@pc.ola.org

Now is the time to join my fight by signing my petition to #LiftTheLockdown at RomanBaber.ca #onpoli

Prof Soludo is right. We have to #liftthelockdown. But I would say 1 week extension first. This 1 week should be used to plan, teach and model how we can safely return to activity with minimal exposure. It will also be time to teach the procedures to leaders across board...
On face masks, crowd size limits, hand washing, markets/public place dis-infectation and daily cleaning. This is the time to have a new model of collective, communal cleanliness communicated and bought into by every leader all over the land.
Leaders must also enforce same.
Some would be careless, but we must all take responsibility. If we don't take these steps and continue with the lock down, people will end them on their own and it might be too late to expect proper behavior, safety or both.
