1. Time with you matters!
Kids appreciated having extra time with whānau – they enjoyed having family members home from work, having meals together, going out for walks together. Family time is one of the most frequently mentioned things that kids liked about being in lockdown

2. Get outside if you can
Kids loved their new car-less neighbourhoods, they mentioned enjoying the quiet and peace, seeing and hearing birds, and being outdoors and in nature. Just going for a walk together is awesome.

For the last many Fridays under #lockdownnz my friends in Wellington have made pretty regular efforts to have Friday Zoom meetings with me because I said I was lonely and sad.
And thus we did. Organising it via Whatsapp, a group message we’ve had going on for about three years or so. But tonight they were going out for dinner to celebrate end of lockdown and support local people and local businesses.
We're confident that there is no widespread community transmission in New Zealand.
