Day -2.
Today I was thinking about the concept of the social network that I'm going to build. I did some research about pros and cons of social networks that exist and found out that all are based on three pillars. Likes (emotions), shares (spread of information), ads (money).
Day -1 and 1.
I chose the old method and used pen and paper. Every aspect of the new social network is handwritten. The first analysis showed me that creating at least 30 views would be necessary. Image

In honor of the final release of Attack on Titan coming out in print, I thought I would dig up some info on the process of creating the logo from my archives to share. My schedule has prevented me from doing these posts this past year, but I wanted to mark the occasion. 1/8
10 YEARS AGO, I was tasked with creating the Attack on Titan logo. I was told it "might be a big deal". It happened very quickly, so the sketches are beyond basic. I knew I wanted it simple and iconic, unique letter shapes to make it feel timeless and not tied to a setting. 2/8
Right away the focus landed on the "A" and "T"--they repeat a lot. I wanted the whole thing to just feel a little off; similar to our world but different. Here's a somewhat chronological chart of the evolution of the letters in very simple pen stroke built letterforms. 3/8

Journey of the Mercedes logo. In a thread.
#design #logodesign #graphicdesign #webdesign
1902, Mercedes registered the name ‘Mercedes’ to represent its business empire, creating its first brand identity. The logo only featured the title at the time. The font design looked both elegant and sophisticated at the same time.
After seven years, Mercedes decided to add the iconic and world-known logo of the three-pointed star. The year 1909 saw the creation of the famous symbol, which continued to grace the car industry from that day to this.

With just over a month left in 2020, let’s talk about the #designtrends we expect to see in 2020. I’ve noticed, and this is usually the case, a larger focus on animation this last year. Flat, #material animation especially 2D characters. Also there has been an increased
Social media focus on “lesson” #Instagram style posts with multiple screens. Hell I tried it myself to see how I would go about doing it. The good thing about these types of posts is that they actually do contain some good info, but I think the trend has hit its peak now.
Next year, I suspect the design world will get more into simple #motiongraphics, perhaps even the multi-screen style static pages we have seen but shorter, more focused animated style typography based animations as the tech becomes more widely available through phones and tablets
