There are 21 pages of liner notes that @ElvisCostello wrote for the new LP #LookNow which journalists & PR people have had access to.

I hope it won't be too long before they go up on ElvisCostello.com so more people who love the new album can read what he wrote about it!
I mean, I love the socks and all that, but beyond the music itself the big thing all Costello fans want is to read the excellent liner notes he writes for his albums, and I think it will be a long wait for any kind of "deluxe reissue", right?
I feel lucky that I became a fan during the era of the Rykodisc reissues, with my first purchases of @ElvisCostello's early albums accompanied by liner notes-- brief ones at first, but getting longer & longer with each new batch...

There is a new contender for my favorite Bacharach/@ElvisCostello song. For a long time, it's been "What's Her Name Today?" but #LookNow album closer "He's Given Me Things" is giving it a serious run for its money:

There was a live version I saw a clip of on YouTube which I thought was good but it didn't knock me out or anything.

This is why getting studio versions of these songs is so important-- to me, anyway! (@SebastianKrys, this album sounds so good.)
I think a lot of other singers are gonna want to record versions of this song.

45 Days Of @ElvisCostello: a twitter megathread in anticipation of the Oct 12 release date of LOOK NOW, the new LP by Elvis Costello & The Imposters

This is either a bright idea or a brilliant mistake, but this is only, this is only, this is only the beginning...
I did something similar to this 5 years ago, in anticipation of EC & @theroots' Wise Up Ghost LP, on tumblr.

(You can still find all those posts if you look, although a lot of the YouTube links etc are now dead ends. It was 40 Days Of EC then, so for 2018 I'm upping it to 45.)
Mostly I will be going chronologically from the early years right up to the present, but it feels right to start out with Costello's 2002 song, "45."

(There's an alternate "diner" version I can't find anywhere online)
