The frontal 60 degree arc is said to be most suceptible for enemy hits and the #Germans placed the critical radars on the front armor. Makes no sense at all. Look at #Americans on their #M1Abrams. The radar is off to the sides. It is still exposed though.

The most famous portion of the Highway of Death is Highway 80, the main artery connecting Iraq and Kuwait; an important spur of the road inside Iraq was Highway 8, which was used by Iraqi military elements as they fled in the face of the U.S. advance and attempted to regroup.
In the Army’s “turkey shoot,” the 24th ID engaged the enemy on Highway 8 during the afternoon/evening of the 27th, employing artillery, armor, and AH-64 Apache helicopters to decimate Iraqi forces, destroying 185 armored vehicles and 400 trucks.

Commanded by then-CPT H.R. McMaster, Eagle Troop was the lead element of the U.S. VII Corps' advance into Iraq. Eagle Troop ran into the Iraqi Republican Guard’s Tawakalna Division at 73 Easting (a north-south coordinate line) on the afternoon of 26 FEB.

2. The Abrams tank’s Honeywell AGT1500 engine is also used in Bell AH-1W SuperCobra, Boeing AH-64 Apache, Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, AgustaWestland EH101/AW101 helicopters. This tank however presents some problems, due to the solution adopted for propulsion, namely the turbojet.
3. This type of engine does not start with a starter like any diesel engine, but with a small jet engine (APU). Only after the APU reaches idle speed does the air it compresses begin to spin the tank’s engine compressor to get it started.

Es werden aber zu wenige Systeme geliefert; dagegen Länder wie #Polen, die sehr wohl nennenswerte Mengen 2/
