*Modern day Ramayana 🏹*

This story, my mama used to say during late 1960s, jesting one of neighbours who's a Palakkattu Iyer.

As we know, generally, Malayalees & particularly, Palakkattu Tamilians, have the peculiar way of pronouncing some English words.
For example, they pronounce the word "Gate" as "Gait", etc.,

In our colony, there were 18 families. One Jagadha was a housemaid in many of the households.

Whenever she absented from duty, these households would be standstill.
Seeing this, my mama used to say this story of Modern Ramayanam.

The story goes like this....

Door bell rings in a house and a woman, alone in the house, opens the door.

Beggar : Amma, please give me something.

Woman : Here, take.

Beggar : Please come out and give.
