About the Hippo.

Hippos have this wonderful behaviour known as dumpening - a kind of magical swoosh of their tail whilst they simultaneously poop that swirls out the faeces in a spray that reaches up to 10 metres away.

There's a few reasons why they do this *1*
It's largely territorial, but it's done when they recognise danger and when they feel threatened as well. I could have really done with some dumpening abilities recently, I'm sure poop spraying would have kept a lot of the dangers away from me *2*
However, digression, I don't hold the capabilities, and it's not something I've thought about for a long time, but I am currently in the process of an autobiographical piece and watching this occur a few years ago was magical (I was more than 10 metres away) *3*

When I first saw this I assumed the OP was a troll.. courting controversy for likes and follows.

I reflected during my swim this morning on some of the comments that the old psychiatrist made to me and now I'm not so sure..

There was the time I told him that I found it hard..
to come to appointments at the CMHT because it stirred up unpleasant memories of things I witnessed and experienced in hospital.

He told me he would consider discharging me "WHEN I got a husband." 🙄🤨

Or the time he decided to tell me about another of his patients in an..
alarming level of detail. The moral of the story being: "don't worry, even crazy women like you can find a man and have a kid. That'll sort you out."

I remember looking at the rainbow poster above his head and thinking about the woman who was waiting for me outside with coffee..

1/ I want to say a great big thank you to @chris_kammy for speaking out about #apraxia affecting his speech. I’ve been inconsolable over the last few days since I’ve discovered that a complication of B12 deficiency & pernicious anaemiaI’ve been diagnosed with, is #aphasia >
2/ I thought a few low vitamin levels was no big deal. I was having the munchies after an injection so I Googled to see if that was a side effect & I stumbled on the complications associated with B12. I have every single one. Some, like heart problems and reproductive stuff >
3/ are reversible. But the neurological and nerve damage can be irreversible. I have every single symptom and I’ve had them now for years. B12 & folate deficiency can happen if your diet is a bit shite, or if you are vegan/veggie. The hubby cooks from scratch and I’m not veggie >

Zoe's inquest. Day three.

#JusticeForZoe

The day begins with questions posed to Mr Philip Robertson, who conducted the independent review into Zoe's care. The coroner asks Mr Robertson to describe his role and qualifications. Mr Robertson indicates that he has 1/
been a mental health nurse for 42 years - 32 years within the NHS and 10 in independent work. The coroner asks him in what way is the report "independent". Mr Robertson explains that he is not employed by the NHS, has no staff involvement, and has no stake in the outcome of 2/
the report. He explains that the report was commissioned by TEWV, but he is not a TEWV employee. They discuss the duty of candour and the importance of Trusts being open and honest when things go wrong.

Mr Robertson explains that in producing the report he met with Zoe's 3/

PLS RT: Does anyone know of any #LXP (Lived Experience Professional roles ie. Peer Support Workers, Lived Experience Researchers) that have reached Employment Tribunal stage for Disability Discrimination in the UK? All I’ve heard of reach settlement before court stage #MadTwitter
Employment & Equality of #LXP’s is something that I’m trying to build understanding of because presently it is disparate and isolated by employer or even employee. I hadn’t realised til recently that there have been quite a few Tribunal applications >
> for discrimination at work, however all I have heard of where settled prior to court. I can’t find any examples of one going to Employment Tribunal Court. I’d really appreciate if people could put this out there so I can discover & collate any examples. They will be of great >
