The Mahabharata text (all editions) say that Sri Krishna left for Mission of Peace from Upaplavya on a Revati nakshatra day in the month of Kaumudi or Kartika masa:

Note in the above tweet that Kartika is not explicitly said:
However, there are two textual references to a Kartika Purnima mentioned explicitly and Kartika masa.

Verse from 02:23 Bhisma Parva ... Vyasa clearly says to Dhritarashtra that Kartika Purnima Moon was appearing eclipsed in the past. Convo was before the war:
Implication: Kartika Purnima can NEVER ever be in war timeline!

The various blunders indulged in by researchers include taking Kartika Purnima during the war shown in part 3 and leads to the inconsistency of having Kaurava army at Kurukshetra while Pandavas still asleep in Upaplavya and Krishna in Hastinapur!
