#Seedco's guide on how to take care of a maize crop from planting up to harvesting:

1. Planting: Row spacing should be 60-90 cm between rows and 20-30 cm between plants. Ensure proper soil tilling, add organic matter and fertilizers. Image
2. Fertilizer application: Apply fertilizer that contains nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium at planting. Side-dress with nitrogen fertilizer at the 6-8 leaf stage and at tasselling stage.

3. Irrigation: Irrigate your crops once a week in the absence of adequate rainfall.
4. Weed control: Regular weeding should be done during the first six weeks after planting. Do hand weeding or use herbicides.

5. Pest management: Regular scouting is vital to detect pest infestations. Use appropriate pesticides for pest control.
