What Malaysian teachers need to understand:

2. While, rape jokes on their own are not a crime, they clearly violate the duty of care educators and employers have towards students and employees. Schools/workplaces MUST act!
3. You don’t need a majority of students/employees to feel threatened or uncomfortable for it to be wrong. If one person feels harassed, then it's harassment.
KPM pernah berusaha melakukan beberapa perubahan demi memastikan segala prosedur dan peraturan di sekolah selari dengan akta 792 (Akta Kesalahan-kesalahan Seksual terhadap Kanak-Kanak) untuk menjaga keselamatan dan kesejahteraan anak-anak pada tahun 2019.
Saya akan tuliskan artikel yang lebih komprehensif berkaitan isu ini. Namun di sini saya hanya kongsikan secebis dari usaha radikal yang pernah cuba dilakukan oleh KPM di penghujung kepimpinan saya di KPM.
Bersama ini saya sertakan memo saya kepada peringkat pimpinan tertinggi KPM agar melaksanakan usaha-usaha bersifat ‘lower hanging fruits’ untuk memelihara anak-anak di sekolah.

this is what my councelling teacher said when i referred to him.
is this the way teachers should reply to students asking for help? moreover hes the counselling teacher...who are we supposed to ask help from when things like this happen. not all students have great family either.
