There is no evidence that the attacker, who identifies as nonbinary and uses “Mx.”, was in any way inspired by Focus on the Family, nor by any conservative or Christian organization. Neither @FocusFamily nor @FRCdc encourage or support violence or shootings against LGBT people
Even so, organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center suggest that disagreement with the LGBT activist movement equates to an instigation of violence and “stochastic terrorism,” thus implicating those who dare to dissent in violent attacks.

My book, #MakingHatePay: The Corruption of the Southern Poverty Law Center, explained how a once-noble civil rights organization became a left-wing smear factory, placing conservative groups on a “hate map” with the Ku Klux Klan. This strategy helps explain why Focus got attacked

Rhodes College alumni have resorted to citing SPLC smears against @AllianceDefends in order to betray their former classmate — and sorority sister — Amy Coney Barrett. pjmedia.com/news-and-polit…
The SPLC is NOT a reliable arbiter of "hate," especially when it comes to ADF, as I explained in my book #MakingHatePay. The SPLC uses guilt-by-association to suggest ADF belongs on a list with the KKK.
ADF's @Jeremy_Tedesco and Alan Sears have debunked the SPLC's smears. Former ACLU President Nadine Strossen and MRFF President @MikeyWeinstein admire the SPLC but condemned the "hate group" attack on ADF. pjmedia.com/news-and-polit…

When I reached out to @MobileCause about its decision to abruptly cut off @FRCdc, the company said it didn't know about the criticism of (and lawsuits against) the SPLC's "hate group" list and the attempted shooting at FRC in 2012. pjmedia.com/culture/tyler-…
Responding to my press inquiry, MobileCause said it would re-examine whether or not it should rely on the SPLC's "hate" accusations in light of these "revelations." Part of me finds it hard to believe MobileCause had no idea about the SPLC's scandals.
But then, I realized that the left-leaning media routinely ignored the criticisms against the SPLC, downplayed the scandals and then acted like they didn't happen, and barely mentioned the attempted terrorist attack. It IS plausible MobileCause never knew. But it knows now.

BREAKING: Joe Biden named Kamala Harris as his running mate. This is a colossal mistake, but it will play well to the hard-left base. Harris is the Democrats' Great Intersectional Hope, a black-Asian woman who demonizes conservatives. 1/6

The problem is, she's the same candidate who vociferously attacked Biden in the primary, demonizing him for working with members of his own party who were also segregationists, and slamming him for opposing forced busing. 2/6 pjmedia.com/election/tyler…
As California attorney general, Harris was tough on crime, a stance she tried to walk back during the 2020 campaign, and on which she pandered shamelessly. 3/6 pjmedia.com/video/tyler-o-…

THREAD: Thanks again to @RepMattGaetz for calling on @JeffBezos and @amazon to get a "divorce" from the SPLC. @mattgaetz brought up this important issue twice in today's #BigTechHearing c-span.org/video/?c489632… /1
He again pressed Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg on whether or not they consider Ben Carson an extremist. c-span.org/video/?c489633… /2
@mattgaetz hit the nail on the head: Why would @JeffBezos trust an organization that takes "mainstream Christian doctrine and label it as hate"? That's what the SPLC routinely does, and it's dangerous. /3

Warren would know something about supporting a "hate-for-profit machine," given her citing of the Southern Poverty Law Center. As my book #MakingHatePay documents, the SPLC is a hate-for-pay scam, and Warren has used it to smear Trump's nominees who worked for @AllianceDefends
Oh yeah, and the SPLC fired its co-founder after a racial discrimination and sexual harassment scandal last year. It promised an internal review, the results of which have still not been published. Read more about #MakingHatePay here. @getongab
Hey Liz Warren, if you think Fox News is a “hate-for-profit machine,” you should check out the SPLC... pjmedia.com/columns/tyler-…

In a few weeks, @amazon will have its annual shareholder meeting. In the lead-up to that meeting @NationalCenter's @DanhofJustin is leading a group of shareholders and Prime members in urging Amazon to drop viewpoint discrimination. 1/ pjmedia.com/news-and-polit…
Specifically, his petition calls on Amazon stakeholders to speak out about @amazonsmile's reliance on the discredited Southern Poverty Law Center, especially after the SPLC's racial discrimination, sexual harassment, and hate-for-pay scandals. 2/
Amazon's reliance on the SPLC is a serious problem because former SPLC employees said the "hate group" list is a "con" to bilk donors and smear political opponents. @DJKMinistries is suing Amazon and the SPLC for defamation. 3/ pjmedia.com/news-and-polit…

The SPLC released its fear-mongering "hate map" today, despite the coronavirus crisis. This is the same "hate map" that inspired an attempted terrorist attack and that former employees said is a "highly-profitable scam." 1/ pjmedia.com/trending/splc-…
"It is appalling that the SPLC would choose this moment of crisis to launch their divisive and false 'hate report,'" @AllianceDefends's @Jeremy_Tedesco told @PJMedia_com. "They should ... assist communities in productive ways, rather than sow discord and division among them." 2/
The report still includes 6 of the most ridiculous 10 groups @curaffairs Editor @NathanJRobinson identified last year. It also lists 38 defunct chapters of @ACTforAmerica. 3/

Here's a brief clip about the Southern Poverty Law Center's bias in smearing conservative and Christian groups as "hate groups."

The SPLC and CAIR are pressuring donor-advised funds to blacklist conservative and Christian "hate groups" in an attempt to defund their political opponents. DAFs had $121 billion in 2018. /1

In calling for this blacklisting, the report praises #ChangeTheTerms, a coalition of Soros-funded groups that pressure #BigTech to silence conservatives on the SPLC "hate group" list. /2 pjmedia.com/trending/splc-…
The entire report is very circular. In addition to citing Change the Terms, it cites a CAIR report from last year, urging philanthropic groups to blacklist "anti-Muslim hate groups," citing — once again — the SPLC "hate group" list. /3 pjmedia.com/trending/anti-…
