Here's a proposal to solve the serious social and political problems in the #USA: #Partition.

Let's just use the 2020 Presidential Election Results as a basis.

Split the US to create two new countries, one for Blue America and one for Red America.

(1/) Image
The red states can be called URSA, or United Republican States of America, and the blue states can be called United States of Democratic America (USDA).

In blue states (USDA), #abortion would be a fundamental right; in red states (URSA), it would be illegal.

(2/)
#Evolution would be taught in USDA, #Creationism in URSA.

#Opencarry guns would be a fundamental right in URSA; the #SecondAmendment would be abolished in USDA; no private guns.

In URSA, there would be a flat tax rate of 10%.

In USDA, the #top1percent would pay 99% tax.

🇺🇸 Let's take a journey through the #HistoryofUSA! From the early Native American civilizations to the modern-day superpower, this fascinating thread will explore key moments in the development of the United States of America. 🗽🦅
Before the arrival of Europeans, numerous Indigenous tribes thrived across the land. From the Iroquois Confederacy in the northeast to the Pueblo peoples in the southwest, their rich cultures and societies laid the groundwork for America's story. #NativeAmericanHistory
In 1492, Christopher Columbus' voyage marked the beginning of European colonization in the Americas. The Spanish, French, Dutch, and English all established settlements, profoundly impacting Indigenous peoples and the land. #Columbus #ColonialAmerica

The Story of Race is a Story of Labor. In fact, most Europeans colonized North America for land and economic opportunities, not for religious freedom. There was no concept of race at that time. People identified by country of origin not by skin color. #WhiteSavior doc thread 🧵:
In 1676, enslaved Africans joined with European indentured servants in a large rebellion against the colonial government in Virginia. #WhiteSavior
Alarmed by the natural alliance between the indentured and enslaved, the ruling class passed a series of laws that segregated and permanently enslaved those of African descent, while also giving their European counterparts new rights and status. #WhiteSavior

We have been told, repeatedly, that requirements for identification cards to vote is "racist."

Never mind the well-established fact that there are, literally, dozens of everyday events in our lives that demand that we have, and present, identification.
Those daily events include: travel (driver's license if you drive; photo identification to board a plane; a passport to travel internationally); conduct financial business, requirements to provide photo ID and, possibly, SSN, to open bank and other financial services accounts;
purchase utility services, including electric service, natural gas services, water, sewer, and trash services; obtaining a home telephone line or buying a cell phone and cell phone service; to make purchases (guns, automobiles, mopeds).

Perhaps George H.W. Bush was the most consequential one-term President in American history. Or, perhaps, it was James Polk - elected this day in 1844. Polk made America a continental power, adding more territory to the United States than any other president #ManifestDestiny
One thing cannot be doubted: Polk was easily the hardest-working President in American history. He took only a handful of days off, worked seven days a week, delegated almost nothing. The ultimate micro-manager
On This Day, 1918: Woodrow Wilson departed for Europe—the first sitting president to visit the continent. He was traveling to France for the Versailles conference, which dealt with the end of World War I. He spent six months in Europe, the longest time any POTUS ever spent abroad

Dear #MAGA #Desis & other assorted non-white ppl who support Republicans because of anti-blackness or lower taxes or the feeling of proximity to power, observe this pattern of escalating & widening targeting in #immigration policy & #deportation:
1. Criminal illegal aliens "bad hombres"
2. All undocumented immigrants
3. End TPS "Temporary Protected Status"
4. End family preference in green cards "chain migration"
5. Reduce/eliminate residency lottery
6. Review citizenship applications for fraud & revoke citizenship &
deport ppl who've been here for decades
7. End birthright citizenship for children of undocumented migrants
8. Muslim ban
9. Revoke residency visa for people who have used certain public welfare benefits

I've probably forgotten some other measures, and no doubt there are more
