Just for background, both of these dishes are (presumably) inspired by two classic dishes from Yangzhou in Jiangsu Province - Yangzhou fried rice and Wensi tofu. Yangzhou was famous for knife manufacture so both dishes were used to show delicate knifework. #MasterChefAU
Yangzhou fried rice is the most famous fried rice in China, and via Cantonese cuisine is actually also the origin of the "Special Fried Rice" you find in suburban Chinese restaurants around Australia. #MasterChefAU

Day 2 of family self-isolation has been more academic in nature: the kids have (unprompted!) sorted their books into alphabetical order by the first letter of the author’s surname. I’ll teach them MHRA referencing tomorrow. #KidsAmusingThemselves #workingfromhome @nickisapiro
