#BalticBiomat #Polymers #MatSci #Biomaterials
Due to #COVIDー19 the safety and well-being of both the participants and our community is our top priority. At present, we are continuing as planned, but we are fully prepared to conduct the Symposium online—using a combo of synchronous & asynchronous meeting tools.
The Symposium will focus on the most recent achievements in #polymer and #biomaterial design, as well as materials engineering approaches aimed at the control of structure and performance.

Hi tweeps! Remember back in March, I made a mega-thread of amazing #WomenInSTEM that you should follow, especially for #IWD2018? If not, here's the 'moment' I made from it…
Well, today (19 Nov) is #InternationalMensDay #IMD2018, and I wanted to mark the occasion. So here are SIXTY men working in STEM who also happen to be some of my favourite tweeps. This is by no means an exhaustive list - please don't be offended if you're not on it!
PS: I have some actual (paid) work to do today, so I'll update the list when I can, in between all my other commitments. Please be patient 😊

The very excellent @medickinson challenges the #materialise audience to rethink what we carry our shopping home in. How can lay-people make decisions on the sustainability of different products?
Pulp (paper bags) and cotton (tote bags) both come with high water costs. "NZ is really bad at making our own stuff - we ship trees overseas, where someone else turns them into bags & then ships them back here" @medickinson
Not surprised to hear that @medickinson's engagement ring contains lab-grown diamonds & recycled gold! Same for me (but mine is sapphire and platinum) ☺ #matsci in action! @MacDiarmidInsti #materialise
