It's been almost a month since our last episode of The More Than Seven Seals of #TheCryptocalypse listed way more than 7 really bad omens for the cryptocurrency "industry."

Well things have gotten a lot worse since then. #TheOracleOfTulips has more to reveal.

The contents of The Book of Fraudits were revealed by the prophet #Mazars in the form of number-free "attestations" about the financial state of #CryptoCom, #Binance, and #KuCoin.

Note that the #KuCoin attestation has never been seen by mortal eyes.

#Mazars LLP, one of the two quasi-legitimate accounting firms still auditing cryptocurrency exchanges not named @Coinbase or @Kraken, announced they would no longer audit crypto firms not named Coinbase or Kraken.

Big Win! #SCOTUS explicitly rules in Vance that the President is “subject to the law.” Major blow to his argument that he is absolutely immune from legitimate investigation #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw #NobodyIsAboveTheLaw #Vance
This is the key quote -- affirming exactly what 37 former GOP Members of Congress, agency heads, and legal experts said in our amicus brief. Read #SCOTUS’s full ruling here: supremecourt.gov/opinions/19pdf… Image
“The President is subject to the law” -- exactly right. Really critical language from SCOTUS today. Trump’s attys made stunning ahistorical argument for absolute immunity -- Court rejects Image

A thread with some thoughts on today #trump arguments at #SCOTUS:

The #mazars case was first--deals with the House Oversight Committee subpoenas for financial information. Important to remember: these were subpoenas to Trump accountants for info that preceded his Presidency. 1/
#SCOTUS liberal wing almost certain to unify in favor of the House and enforcement of subpoena. Question will come as to conservatives.

I thought Alito was most strident in questioning the subpoena's legitimacy. Thomas' questions were more reserved, but he seemed to agree. 2/
Kavanaugh was more equivocal, but he didn't ask anything that gave away a position. I expect him to fall in line with Alito/Thomas.

Roberts is a question mark. Tough questions for both sides and seemed to want a balance of positions. I don't think he was thrilled with... 3/

Thread on Mazars cases (assuming there'll be something to say). I'm curious how much focus there'll be on the HPSCI need to examine Trump's possible foreign entanglements -- which is what's really most important in the case. /1

Pleased to have filed this brief in the case with Jessica Bulman-Pozen, Bill Marshall, @GillianMetzger2, and Zack Tripp, discussing Congress' power to oversee and inform about the Executive. /2

Radical implications of Trump's argument already apparent: That the congressional Whitewater and Watergate investigations *were unconstitutional.* /3

1. IMO there's absolutely nothing to stop @ManhattanDA from indicting @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump this coming week. The stay in the appeal of the 2nd Cir involves #Mazars only vis-a-vis Vance. He's almost certainly got Trump family and business taxes from @NewYorkStateAG.
2. If Vance has a case that will expose the Trump/Putin business connection in the indictment he should seek a vote at the grand jury & if a true bill, file an unsealed indictment that will expose Trump is a Russian mobster. Do it now.
3. US attorney in SDNY is active in cases like Parnas and Edwards, he should be recused in. He's Giuliani's former law partner. Barr can block these cases to help Trump. NY must indict Trump. @SDNYnews is compromised. They watched Epstein be murdered and did nothing. @NewYorkFBI

1. Watching @MSNBC @maddow. #Mazars case was filed by Donald J. Trump as plaintiff seeking a TRO using a small VA firm. Good Luck cowboy.

Trump's dream team put the case on a fast track. This was a desperate act and obvious that the DC bar is steering clear of this disaster. Trump lawyers. Consovoy firm. Eight men.
2. Besides filing the motion for TRO Trump filed a motion for preliminary injunction. You can appeal a denial of a motion for preliminary injunction not a TRO so if the preliminary injunction motion is denied then Trump has essentially lost and the subpoena has to be obeyed.
3. That's because if Trump loses, Mazars has only got seven days to comply based on the court's 4/23/2019 Minute Order. This mess could be in the DC Court of Appeals in days and then if stay is denied before the #SCOTUS in a matter of days not weeks for another stay request.
