•The prices of TiO2 had gone to as low as ₹160/kg. The prices have started improving right now and are currently greater than ₹190/kg. Ilmenite ore prices have also come down to a reasonable price from ₹45/kg to ₹28/kg.
•The company plans to make TiO2 by the sulfate process where they will be reacting ilmenite ore with sulfuric acid to produce TiO2 . At present, almost 2 lakh tonnes of TiO2 is imported in India. The company is planning an import substitution for TiO2 going forward.

along with improvement in volume & higher realisation from Agrochemicals business.

#akshar chemicals - FY20 would be a yr to watch. Rev/PAT going 2x, ebitda% improving ~15% to 20% as major contribution frm pigments and silica. Margins wd be more stable due to lower contribution from dye intermediates. #bodal chemicals #kiri chemucals #shree pushkar
Fairly valued at 15x at 610. Though 2 yr fwd is ~8x. #Vinyl Sulphone and #H Acid realizations have stabilized now from peaks due to #China factor last year. Capex permissions are not easy to get with dye intermediates being highly toxic.
