The #Meitei Hindus were systematically targeted in this pre-planned attack by Kuki Christians.
Their homes and livelihoods are totally destroyed. At least 27 villages have been wiped out. Even on May 7th the Kuki Christians bunt down a poultry farm. (2/n)

Many of the camps providing food and shelter to the refugees are operating without any form of state support.
More than 2000 refugees were forced to leave for Cachar in Assam. 600 refugees took shelter in Mizoram.
The number of refugees is likely to exceed 30000 soon.

The Hindu majority Meitei people in Manipur have been subjected to repeated violence by Christians (for Ex -2007) using existing issues as an excuses.

The Meitei are 53% by population but they are restricted to only 10% of land. The rest of the hills are reserved exclusively for so called Tribals.
Demands for ST status started in 2012 and the resulting High Court order on March 27th was used as an excuse for violence. (3/n)
