The government of the North American country signed corresponding agreements with the pharmaceutical companies AstraZeneca, Pfizer and CanSino Biologics in the daily press conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday.
Combined with access to 51.5 million doses through participation in the global Covax initiative, 107 to 116 million of the nearly 130 million Mexicans could be vaccinated, according to government figures - many vaccinations require two doses per person.
