$QQQ Image

I am "holding period" agnostic, particularly with #microcaps. Some names can return triple digit returns in a short period, others take time to appreciate.

One of my longer term positions is $SXP.to, a manufacturer of envelopes, of all things (boring business, exciting stock)!
On the flipside, here's a stock that I've held for nearly 1 year, with flat return $mnd.to
And here is $usak, acquired in mid 2022, I bought and sold 3 times. Not uncommon in #quant #microcap strategies:

The #value spread is a popular method to measure how undervalued #stocks are in the market.

For deep value stocks, particularly #netnet stocks, I like to track the number of net-nets available. This number typically peaks during market sell-offs, and then closes off.

(1/n)
👇
This recent sell-off has been no different, as the number of #netnets has been increased. In recent weeks, this number has been decreasing, suggesting these stocks are being bought up, and the value gap closing.

👇
Some #netnet names I'm watching (and am long):

$SOS
$LSF
$IMCC
$LGL
$ROOT

Here's the allocation of the net-net portfolio (of course mostly #microcap 😉):

1/42 Interviewing company mgmt. can be a daunting task. You may feel overwhelmed or intimidated jumping on a call with executive leaders. But at the end of the day, going the extra mile gives you a huge investing edge. This #Thread discusses this topic & 8 interview process tips.
2/42 By the way, this #Thread is longer than recommended by the “experts.” However, I wanted to put a lot of thought into the mgmt. interview process topic for those who are deeply into #stockpicking or want to learn how to pick stocks. Investing successfully requires effort.
3/42 It helps to realize that you shouldn't be intimidated by mgmt. Many want to tell their story, especially in #microcap land. I can’t tell you how many times I've reached out to a CEO of a #microcap/nanocap co. who basically said:“wow, investors never call us, let’s chat”.

In the last thread we had seen total 116 stocks in marketcap range 500cr to 1000cr, lets have a try with basic fundamental approach and check
what is the result.

ATH: All time high, 40 stocks out of 116 were not able to make fresh all time high after 2012. Some of them generated returns from 2012,
but they were not able to breach their previous ATH. Eg: Sanwaria, Uttam Galva Steel, mercator.

In honor of Ep. 200 of @PlanetMicroCap, thought I’d put together a thread of #MicroCap #Investing observations over the years since launching the pod in July 2015. I’m not a great tweeter, nor sharer of wise, philosophical, investor-y quotes, but this was fun to reflect...
Would love to see some of your takes from the show over the years, please forgive typos or poor punctuation...
MicroCap stocks are unique and still an inefficient market: giant universe of companies, most institutions stay away even from the quality ones, management teams are accessible, and yet, most tend to shy away from looking here usually b/c of bias, myths

Please read their screener.in pages and company websites before deciding. I'll also add a few lines for those who don't want to do that.
1. RACL geartech
A precision gear manufacturer (Soma Comstar rings a bell?) supplying to BMW, kubota, Yamaha, KTM. Sticky client relationship built over years. Aiming to grow topline from 180cr to 500cr in next 4 years. Industry leading margins of 15-20%. EV unlikely to disrupt.
Co is also undertaking 50cr capex which is likely to commence soon.
High precision gears are requirement for EV so that noise levels are low since RPM and torque are higher. RACL could benefit on margins whenever clients move to EV.
