Before recent restrictions, @RBKingston gave us a tour of the HUGE new bike storage hub nearing completion next to Kingston Station 🚆 It's been built as part of the Borough's #MiniHolland (or #GoCycle) programme funded by @TfL 🚲🅿️🚲🅿️🚲🅿️
There will be space for 450 bikes (including inclusive & cargo 🚲)🅿️, lots of 360° security cameras linked to @RBKingston's CCTV monitoring room🎥, a space for a bike mechanic🔧, café space☕, water fountain⛲, accessible toilet🚾, lockers🔒, energy efficient lights💡 + lift 🛗
You also get a great view of the new cycle and pedestrian bridge being finished off which will improve walking and cycling from the station to the Thames (& towards Ham). Both hub & bridge are in their final stages and due to open by end of January 🌉🚲🌳 #GoCycle #MiniHolland

I cycled 8.41 miles in search of an ice cream and earned 70 BetterPoints with @BetterPoints betterpoints.uk@ericonabike⁩ ⁦@RideLeicester⁩ ⁦@bricycle⁩ ⁦@gavcarter90⁩ ⁦@OweniteAdam
A fine warm evening as I headed out in search of #wands on the protected #popupbikelanes - I rode the whole way on new or existing cycle lanes, some very old, others not quite finished, I didn’t find an ice cream but I saw a lot of #cones
Once in town, I headed for Granby Street and the contraflow #cyclelane where historically (Feb2020) there was always a vehicle blocking it - but the #wands are in, parking bays suspended for physical distancing and continental cafe culture, and a clear route to the train station

London's newest #Cycleway between New Malden and Raynes Park is now open! This is a (more than necessary) detailed thread reviewing it.
It is 1.2km long and starts next to New Malden Station, carries on parallel to the railway line, passing alongside Raynes Park recreation ground, connecting to Taunton Avenue and then along West Barnes Lane towards Raynes Park.
There is a 2.5m 2-way cycle track and a separate 2m wide path for for people walking all the way from near New Malden Station to Raynes Park recreation ground. Both paths have been laid very well and are really smooth👍 The middle verge was to be planted with wildflowers.
