He still wouldn’t resign. I wish I was wrong but I wasn’t.
The other thing I said was he would change the laws that would mean he didn’t have to go. Again I was right.

It's being said he's "Watering it down" in the wake of #PartyGate after being accused of breaching it multiple times

The Ministerial Code is a code of conduct that applies to MPs in England (there's separate code for Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland)
Written rules appeared in the 1980s because obviously MPs could be trusted completely before that date.
There was some form of code of conduct in place since the 1940s though (I assume because of the war)

This is absolutely conclusive, irrefutable evidence that Boris Johnson has broken the #MinisterialCode, and lied to Parliament. There should be no doubt, that he IS a proven liar, with nothing but contempt for his office and the electorate. He must resign!

In November 2019, @pritipatel was investigated for bullying officials and found to have broken the code by the independent advisor. #JohnsonOut85 ignored the findings and kept her.
The advisor resigned in protest.

We went 6 months without an independent advisor as Johnson had proven he could not care less about the #MinisterialCode and standards of conduct for Government officials.

In April 2021, Johnson hired a new independent advisor, Lord Geidt, because he needed be be investigated himself over potential breaches of the #MinisterialCode over a funds for favours scandal regarding his Downing Street flat refurb and golden wall paper.
