On Saturday, I led 30 young Community Recycling Champions to observe the #EarthDay2021 as one of the strategies in implementing the #MissionZeroPlastic initiative in #KwaraState. The CRCs #CleanUpTanke and recovered 211 Kg (5,908)

5,908 #Pet #plastic were recovered from Item7, Tanke Oke - Odo to Bovas Filling Station, Tanke (3.2 Km and 7 mins walk, thanks to @googlemaps).
This shows the high level of #plasticpollution in Tanke alone.

Yesterday, we officially Flag-Off #MissionZeroPlastic in #Kwara State. In attendance are Rep. Min. of Education, @KwaraEnv , Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), & the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on #SDGs @DrJamila_Bio
