Obviously, getting vaccinated is hugely important.

1/ I am an @MCPS educator. The message the @mocoboe has sent to the public is VERY different than the messages they are sending to staff. They have neither the manpower nor the resources to keep kids safe at levels recommended by the @CDCgov.
2/I am a parent in the system as well as an educator. I will NOT be sending my children into the festering petri dishes that classrooms will become without proper protections.
3/ Teachers--including teachers that are immunocompromised and/or who live with immunocompromised people are being given "consideration" about working remotely but aren't being guaranteed.

When I vote, as a quick gut check — in addition to googling candidates' backgrounds — I cross reference what @NARAL, @NAACP & @MSEAeducators have said about the candidates.
County Executive @Marc_Elrich says Montgomery County will stay with current guidelines because it is not safe to reopen yet. The County has the second highest number of #COVID19 cases in the state. #MoCo #StayHome #StaySafe
It is important to be careful, @Marc_Elrich said. Nearly 400 deaths in the County. We are going to stick with the guidelines. Do everything you can to keep people safe.
