2/ Here we introduce the concept of the Codon. The DNA is made up of 4 bases with Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine and Thymine. They have to encode 20 different amino acids. To do so, the DNA uses a codon. Its a combination of 3 nucleotides.

As thumbrule it takes 10-12 days for #lockdown to impact the spread of #COVID19, so duration between infection till confirmation is on avg. 10 days. This is reasonable as people would wait 1-2 days with symptoms, book a test appointment and get the results so 6+2+1+1=10 days 🧵2/
So if Person A gets infected with #COVID19 today, he will be reported as a confirmed case after 10 days. But he might have infected person B after 4 days. Person B might have infected person C after 4+4 = 8 days from today, or 2 days before person A is reported. 🧵3/

La #virulence est le mal qu’un parasite (virus, bactérie,...) fait à son hôte.

Dans le cas du #SARS-CoV-2, on peut la mesurer via le risque d’être hospitalisé ou de décéder. Sachant que cela dépend fortement de l’âge.

Our goal was to decide on the library size needed to sequence a cohort of ~90 in-house Leukaemia RNA-Seq samples to allow good sensitivity for both DE analyses and mutation calling.
We used publicly available deeply sequenced RNA-Seq samples (from Leucegene) from the same cancer type and called mutations using 6 methods (combinations of 3 popular callers and filtering methods).
We called mutations on the initial and randomly downsampled data.
