During this #NationalVolunteerWeek, I'm proud of everyone who has stepped up to help out their communities in this time of need during #COVID19, including several members of my team. Here are some of the ways they've been giving back:
In Springfield, Cameron spends a few mornings a week delivering breakfasts and lunches to kids from her local school district whose caregivers don’t have access to transportation to pick up their meals.
Kirsten donated blood, which is desperately needed right now to make sure we have an ample supply for health providers to treat people during #COVID19, with @RedCross Image

As it is #NationalVolunteerWeek, we are reminded that this work is not easy. Youth want to be engaged, it is adults putting up barriers. We tweeted about lowering the voting age and our notifications have been going off by all the people who disagree.
One person said "No way! They can be swayed too easily. They do not have life experience to make good decisions until they are in their twenties. The voting age should be over 21" or ...
"Children are being manipulated by adults. The voting age must remain 18 when people are mature enough to think for themselves" Youth are strong willed. They are not taking heads for anyone but themselves.
