Happy Immortal X-Men #ncbd! The Destiny of X phase has started with a bang — and with this new phase we're bringing cornerboxes to Krakoa. A thread on genesis and design of bringing this much-loved cover device into the future: 1/6 
It actually started with the new Design Variant covers I created for the Destiny of X phase; and the opportunity that presented itself to perhaps revitalise the X-line trade dress design, in the same way we did with HOX/POX. 2/6
The challenge was to design something that wasn't invasive, but visually impactful — and of course flexible so it could work across all X titles. The solution: a modern cornerbox unit that holds the X brand, consistent with our new X design language. 3/6
