The Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr. Kesiye Wabote (@wabote_simbi FNSE, FIPS) a few moments ago received the Champion of Local Content Development in Africa Award at the inaugural Heritage Concert & Awards held Kigali, Rwanda.

Speaking after he received the award, Engr @wabote_simbi dedicated the award to his family and the hard working staff of the Board. He hailed the organizers of the African Heritage Concert and Award, describing the award as a stepping stone to the African continent’s development.
He hinted that the award challenges him to continue looking beyond Nigeria, to see how local content can be developed across Africa.
The NCDMB held the Cross River leg of the one-day sensitization workshop on the Board's Community Content Guidelines (CCG) for contractors, youths, and members of host communities in Calabar, yesterday, Saturday 25th March 2023.
The ES, #NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi (FNSE, FIPS), who was represented by the GM, CC/ZC, Dr. Ginah O. Ginah (FNSE) at the workshop, noted that it was aimed at enlightening contractors, youths and other stakeholders on the mandate of the Board and the importance of the CCG.
The Board’s CCG is intended to facilitate the effective participation of citizens of oil-producing communities in oil and gas operations. He added that in the CCG, a Host Community is defined as the community where oil & gas operations/projects take place.
Ahead of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Oloibiri Museum & Research Center (OMRC) & the NCDMB Conference Hotel Project on Tuesday, February 21, by the HMSPR, @FMPRng, @HETimipreSylva, a delegation from the NCDMB on Sunday visited the Otuabagi community in Ogbia LGA…
… of Bayelsa State, the exact host community of the project on pre-groundbreaking engagement.

The @BayelsaPoliceNG delegation which was led by the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ben N. Okolo, had DCP Tolani Alausa, DCP. Daniel Iyams, SP Asinim Butswat (@SwatAsinim), ASP Job C. Abraham, ISP Andrew Saul, INSPR Apollos Paul and INSPR Tanko Philip.
The courtesy visit by the @BayelsaPoliceNG was for the Commissioner of Police, CP Ben Okolo to familiarize & push for more synergy as well as collaboration with the Board, as this is his first visit since he became CP in the state.

The Executive Secretary, #NCDMB, Engr. Simbi Kesiye Wabote (@wabote_simbi) (FNSE, FIPS) today, received a delegation from the Oil & Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (@OgtanOrg) at the Nigerian Content Tower, Swali, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The @OgtanOrg delegation was led by its President, Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi, accompanied by the Vice President, Mr Davidson Afolabi and the Coordinator Lagos Zone, Mr Matthew Olaleye.
The purpose of the meeting was for @OgtanOrg to update the Board on its Human Capacity Development initiatives, specifically provide an update on the Center for Skills Development and Training (CSDT).

The ES #NCDMB, Engr. @wabote_simbi FNSE, earlier today, virtually delivered the welcome address at the 3rd Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF). “I welcome you all to the 3rd Edition of the Bi-annual Nigerian Oil & Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) 2021”.

The 2019 NOGOF was the first event held two years ago in our 1,000-seater Conference Center in Yenagoa to test-run the newly installed facilities. It was an eye opener on the standard of organization that could be brought to local events in Yenagoa. - Engr. @wabote_simbi FNSE.
