This is the start of a series of tweets I plan to do on a human right crisis in NFLD: special needs education. To be honest it's coast to coast but #nfld is in pretty bad shape for #deafeducation and #HumanRights

The reason for a centralised Deaf school is that resources to educate the Deaf is extremely limited. #nfld in its infinite wisdom decided that local communities had the resources to mainstream Deaf children and only needed to be checked on once in awhile.
If you relied upon Facebook and Twitter for information, you would probably think that Albertans are all starving because they are keeping the rest of Canada in the lap of luxury. Albertans are bombarding social media with posts about how hard done by they are.

We have another Province in our Federation that is also an oil producing Province, Newfoundland and Labrador. When Mr Harper and Mr Kenney designed the current Equalisation programme in 2011, they carefully excluded NFLD because of their offshore oil.

The average family income in Nfld is about 35% lower than Alberta, housing is cheaper, but everything else is more expensive because of geography. If their electricity utility is to stay solvent they need to double the price to the consumer.
