2/ Remember, these aren't the lipid levels taken *at* age 100+, it's what their levels where at the time of examination 15-20 years prior.
This is very relevant when considering reverse causality given this extreme gap in time for all who were reaching centenarian status.

Our next paper: Abnormal #thyroid function is common in #takotsubo syndrome and depends on two distinct mechanisms: results of a multicentre observational study onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.11…
In this study, we compared patients with #takotsubo syndrome (#TTS) with age- and sex-matched normal subjects from the #NHANES collective and with patients affected by acute coronary syndrome (#ACS) from the AQUA FONTIS study (@StudyAqua). Main outcome measure was serum #FT4.

Cracking ethane removes two hydrogen atoms and makes ethylene, the building block for polyethylene plastics. Look at the bottom of a plastic water bottle these days, & it’s typically got a 1 in the recycling triangle, which is used to signal it is a polyethylene water bottle. 3/
