Castillo was an Accountant for the non-profit and made checks out to herself and entities that she controlled. She also forged the non-profit President’s signature on checks.
This outlet did some digging and found federal records that showed Castillo linked to Greater Englewood Housing Corporation. They listed her as “in care of” the org.

She stole the money from Motivation, Education & Consultation Associates (MECA), which is her own non-profit that she started back in 2006.
Looks like she diverted Medicaid and social security disability funds from MECA & bought trips, clothing, & made payments on her Porsche.
