El episodio empieza, como de costumbre, con @SaraTrejos introduciendo el tema y los distintos problemas que implica. Habla de los problemas de ciertos tipos de cubrimiento y de los sesgos racistas contra @FranciaMarquezM y el desequilibrio informativo en contra del gobierno.
Sara termina con una excelente pregunta, que sintetiza bastante bien el problema que se revela en todo este asunto de Petrus, los medios y la FLIP, pero que, por desgracia, no vuelve a ser abordada nunca más en el episodio: ¿Libertad de prensa o libertad de propaganda?

We really do need journalists. The average person doesn't have same access to find out what Government is doing.
Journalists need support of people when under siege from a government that does not want any accountability or transparency and makes their job impossible to do.

Yelling at punters for not supporting them or not caring about their #RightToKnow or #FreedomOfThePress campaigns just increases the amount of people who have disdain for the profession and worse, increases the lack of trust.
BACKGROUND: I’ve been meaning to talk about this for ages. One common reason why journalists and other people in the media sometimes get cranky when people ask lots of questions about what they’re written is that by the time you’ve seen it they’re completely over it...
For the audience, the story is the beginning of their process. Remember that stupid Fairfax slogan, was it? “Start a conversation” That means buy the paper and YOU go off and chat amongst yourselves. It doesn’t mean we want to talk to you. :)
For the journalist, it’s the end of the process. They’ve done research, they’ve written a draft, they’ve argued with their editor, they’ve filed, they’ve changed what the editor doesn’t like, they’ve sulked — and then it’s the end of it and they have to move on to the next thing.
Barr’s memo is – blatantly and predictably – a bad faith “summary” of the Mueller Report. But a lot of the press is taking it at face value. It’s ridiculous. And I think it’s important to understand why that keeps happening. So here’s a stab at it.
My short answer is that the mainstream press has a comfort zone, and they were desperate to return to it.
