While we welcome the much-needed additional investment to tackle the backlog caused by the pandemic, young people with cancer need the Government to provide ringfenced funding to recruit, train, & retain the workforce needed to provide expert care.
Teenagers and young adults with cancer have different psychological, social and physical needs when compared with children and older adults and should receive specialist, age-appropriate care and support from a workforce trained to meet their needs.
A two-year investigation by @AJIUnit reveals how British universities are failing to protect students from sexual harassment by their lecturers, allowing them to carry on teaching even where there are multiple complaints over many years.

Our national narrative has never had room for helplessness, & I've felt it acutely often since March. This can magnify the effect of experiencing it. I am def hitting the wall after 4 mos of overfunctioning, & I've talked w a few folks w/in last week in sim spots. #NotOK
And I'll add that I fully recognize the many ways in which I am comparatively fortunate or privileged right now, so I'm not trying to minimize others' plights. But just saying "you too? yeah, same here." to our common struggle w the trauma of living in America in 2020
