🧵 And now back to the program… Peggy Noonan and the unrelenting hit job that she & the GOP right wing are trying to put on VP @KamalaHarris . And before I hear the M. Obama quotes… had y’all properly checked this in the 80s I wouldn’t have to in ‘21.. so don’t want to 👂 it.
The right seems threatened by smart, strong-willed, free thinking women & POC. Don’t believe me- see Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, & now Kamala Harris. In their strategy to “mean girl”them out of existence- they target their looks, mannerisms, & personalities to “otherize” them.
And over the years Noonan has been the queen of Otherizing. With eloquent prose, timed hair flips, & dramatic deep-breath pauses, she has attempted to define the aforementioned (& Obama) as outside of the American mainstream, but to her Trump’s style made him appear “normal.”
