Happy #InternationalWomensDay!

@ActBlue breaks its policies to let wife beaters, pedophiles, and sexual harassers to raise tens of millions of dollars

Follow along to see why #OHSEN @SherrodBrown, #GASEN @ReverendWarnock, and more have to go

REMINDER: My @FreeBeacon reporting got @ActBlue to boot @andrewcuomo while he was running for reelection as #NYGOV

ActBlue's policies are clear--there is no room for Dems accused of sexual misconduct on it

@lachlan's reporting at the time: axios.com/2021/08/05/dem…

(2/xx)
REMINDER: @ActBlue kicked a teenager who was a Democratic nominee for state legislature in Kansas off the platform because he sent revenge porn when he was *in middle school*

It was clear based on that precedent that @andrewcuomo had to go

New from me @TheSpectator:

Newly-Independent #AZSEN @kyrstensinema's use of @actblue directly violates the platform's policy that it is ONLY for Democrats

It's huge trouble for Independent Sens. @BernieSanders and @AngusforMaine #VTSEN #MESEN

thespectator.com/topic/kyrsten-…

(1/xx)
Let's be clear from the onset:

@ActBlue is ONLY for Democrats...as it makes clear on its own website.

@kyrstensinema, @BernieSanders, and @AngusforMaine are NOT Democrats #azsen #vtsen #mesen

If you're even passingly familiar with my reporting, you'll know that I've covered @ActBlue's whimsical and nonsensical policies for years

We talked about @kyrstensinema specifically on @newsmax last week with @JohnFBachman and @BiancaDLGarza

People want to make every election win/loss about Trump/not Trump.

Trump campaigned endlessly with JDV in OH; he won by 6.6.

Odea in Colorado made anti-Trumpism his banner issue and he lost by double digits.

cc @mattklewis @EWErickson @benshapiro @SeanTrende @AnnCoulter
Zeldin didn't hug or run from Trump and lost by only 5+ in a deep-blue state!

Dems and kept hammering him on Trump. Maybe if he embraced Trump he could've made up the gap from pro-Trumpers since anti-Trumpers anyway got the anti-Trump message from Dems.

Who knows.
Then there is the part of Never/Non-Trumpers saying that X can't win yet those Never/Non-Trumpers either don't vote for X or even actively oppose X. When X loses, the Nevers are all "HAHA. We TOLD YOU they can't win!"

See what @KarlRove did in #PAGov against the GOPer.

Polls close in 5 minutes in NY. Some races I'm watching:
-#NYGov (obviously)
-Congress: #NY01, #NY02, #NY03, #NY04, #NY17, #NY18, #NY19, #NY22
-Senate Districts: 1, 7, 9, 23, 37-44, 48, & 50
-Statewide Ballot Prop 1
-3 NYC Ballot Props
Reminder: in New York, absentee ballots received prior to election day are pre-processed and included in unofficial election night tallies!

Those absentees and early voting are likely the first results we're seeing.
BTW I will not be live-tweeting results as they come in. If you want to follow along with results statewide, go to nyenr.elections.ny.gov.

You can also get results quicker and often more reliably from individual county Boards of Elections' websites (depending on the county)

We watched 135+ debates so you didn’t have to — and Democrats said some crazy things.

Here are some of the most insane debate moments from Democrats this cycle.

🧵 THREAD.
Minnesota Democrat Rep. Angie Craig: “I will never stop standing up for Big Pharma and standing against my constituents!” #MN02
Oregon Democrat Tina Kotek called for "meth stabilization center[s]" in Portland — "in addition to making [full drug decriminalization] work." #ORGov

Gov. @KathyHochul just visited the Ohel of the Chabad-Lubavitch Rebbe in Queens.

“My God help me be a messenger on behalf of the Jewish community in New York and protect them from all evil and hate,” the governor wrote in a note (kvitel) #NYGov
The governor also visited the gravestone of Ari Halberstam, who was murdered in a terrorist attack in 1994, with his mother Devorah Halberstam.
Hochul told me she came to honor the Rebbe and ask for guidance — pledging to “continue to fight for the Jewish people to keep them safe” and “honor the great traditions and forms of education.”

Thread: I live in #NY17. I have worked on winning and losing campaigns here and elsewhere that have a large number of voters who are Orthodox Jewish.

FIRST: POTUS Biden called the Grand Rabbis of Kaser, New Square asking for support for @spmaloney. Dunno yet about @KathyHochul.
2/ I don't do political campaigns in recent years due to my work with OJPAC. But from what I follow up close, @lawler4ny won his seat in the NY Assembly in 2020 by a margin of a few thousand votes in an election year where 18,000 voters who are Orthodox Jewish turnout countywide.
3/ The 18,000-strong vote in 2020 in #NY17 was almost exclusively for Trump and this includes 3K or so votes in New Square and 3,500 or so in Kaser (and their affiliated members in surrounding areas).

Now that the seat is a toss up, a move by leadership in either place is key!

Gun violence and crime are key issues for voters this cycle – and Democrats are effectively flipping the script by highlighting that it's the MAGA Republican agenda that puts profits for gun manufacturers ahead of public safety that’s responsible.

(h/t @POLITICOPro) 🧵
Last night, @Everytown released a new ad in #WISen highlighting how @RonJohnsonWI has enabled rising violence and new polling that shows the vast majority of Wisconsin voters support stronger gun safety laws that he’s continually opposed.
In #SC01, pediatrician and @MomsDemand vol @AnnieAndrewsMD’s first TV ad shows how gun violence devastates families and erases far too many lives – and yet her opponent @NancyMace votes against bipartisan gun safety bills.

Harry Wilson claims Lee Zeldin asked him to join his ticket as lieutenant governor. Zeldin says it’s not true, and accuses him of lying.

Wilson accuses Zeldin of lying right back, says he has notes from the conversation, and says Zeldin is acting like a child. #NYGov
Giuliani says that if Eric Adams doesn’t rehire city workers fired because they refused to get the COVID vaccine, Giuliani will hire them onto the state payroll. Then calls Jan. 6 “political theater.”
All of the candidates were just asked about including LGBTQ history in school curricula. None of the candidates answer, instead they start talking about teaching kids about sex. Astorino compares it to driving a white van to a playground and talking to 5-year-olds about sex.

Neither #NYGov Kathy Hochul (D-Buffalo) nor her potential Lt Governor running mate Antonio Delgado (D-Rhinebeck) are from New York City. The last time New York elected a Governor and Lt Governor entirely from Upstate New York was 1910.
*This assumes that Thomas Dewey is more associated with Manhattan, where he was District Attorney, than Pawling, NY, where he lived later in life.

The elected 1911-12 Gov/LG combo was Gov John Alden Dix of Glens Falls and LG Thomas Conway of Plattsburgh.
The last time NY had an Upstate Gov & LG was in the month of December 1942, when Gov Charles Poletti from Elizabethtown ascended to the office when then-Gov Herbert Lehman took a post in the wartime federal government. His acting LG, Joe Hanley, was from Perry, NY.

#NY19 Antonio Delgado (D) was facing a tough re-election challenge from Marc Molinaro (R). With the Democrats' Congressional gerrymander thrown the new map will probably make his seat more GOP & the special master can shore up DCCC Chair Sean Maloney in neighboring #NY18.
#NYGov Kathy Hochul (D) will also have to call a special election to fill the remainder of #NY19 Rep Antonio Delgado's term. Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro (R) should be a favorite to win the special which will be run under the old R+3 PVI lines.
We got full details and Great Mentioner on possible candidates for the #NY19 special election and general election here👇

A judge has ordered that the challenge to NY’s maps will go forward. Per @cinyc9, who attended today’s hearing, NY is likely to use its leg.-drawn map this year. The judge may order new elections if he strikes down the map, or changes could wait for ‘24. Decision next month.
Judge Patrick McAllister, who is presiding over the case, ordered discovery and denied Democrats’ motions to dismiss. Experts will testify on March 14.
Judge McAllister denied #NYGov Kathy Hochul's motion to be removed from the case and said she is a necessary party to the lawsuit.

In 2020, Republican congressman Lee Zeldin won re-election in #NY01 by almost 10% against Democrat Nancy Goroff.

Here's a map breaking down the margin of victory by precinct, as well as Zeldin & Goroff's performance by party line: Image
At the same time, in the presidential general election, Trump beat Biden in #NY01 by a little over 4%.

Once again, here's a map breaking down the margin of victory by precinct, as well as each candidate's performance by party line in the district: Image
#NY01, out on Long Island, is located entirely within Suffolk County.

The district will likely change quite substantially in redistricting, as state legislative Democrats can easily draw an additional Democratic-leaning seat on Long Island. Image
