7/12/19 @pushtheboundary thread. Like last time I'll try and provide some updates #oafc
@dan_taylor12 has just done a quick intro speech. Protest will be leaving in just under 10 mins. Big crowd building in the pub - difficult to estimate at the moment. A few from Leyton Orient are here too and are expected to say a few words outside the stadium #oafc
Not much said by the club but this update has been provided by a BBC journalist #oafc

As promised, here are the results that can be found on our website. We welcome all feedback and if there is any specific information that is required, please let us know and we will happily provide as we can filter the results down further #oafc
These results are for the fans but rest assured we will be using these results in order to try and impact change and future decision making at the club as some of the information presented is quite alarming and has shocked us #oafc
It’s clear that there is a lack of fan engagement and this is something that must be rectified and measures put in place to improve this immediately. Fans are the lifeblood of a football club and to have an average engagement score of 2.7/10 is simply unacceptable #oafc

Right! I've finally had a chance to watch the forum from last night and I've put together some key points so bare with me whilst I put a thread together. I'm simply stating what was said, anything in brackets is my opinion/comment on what was said #oafc
All board members were present, including someone called Shaheed, pardon the spelling. He was described bas "finance director" (there is no mention of his name on company house or club website so I don't know if he is an actual director or simply an advisor) #oafc
An initial comment was made by Barry Owen, who admitted the club had made mistakes and needed to be more transparent (which is interesting, as the fans forum video has now been taken down from YT - which feels like they've shot themselves in the foot) #oafc

AL said the council provided extensive funding to ensure that it was investing in a facility to serve Oldham Atheletic fans and to benefit the Club financially. I googled Oldham council cabinet minutes. Went back to 08/2011. Looked for... #oafc
The land acquisition of the Lancashire Club. The council proposed 3 options.
Do nothing
Acquire the Lancaster Club
Acquire the Lanc Club; re-gear the lease at Chapel Road and pay a Grant to help redevelop BP. They chose option 3. #oafc
Now, that grant was minuted as due to all the work the community trust does. The purchase of the land from the “American investors” is not part of the grant, but it transferred assts from land to cash for the land owners. Reportedly it stopped a legal fight #oafc

Hell of an effort from Edmundson! #OAFC
Breakdown by league:
Championship - 9
League One - 5
League Two - 7

Multiple players on the list:
Crewe - 3

A few things I’ve thought over the past few weeks (inc many unpopular opinions) #OAFC (A Thread)

Sylla is one of our few fit central midfielders who played a very strong game yesterday.

Sylla and Missilou is our best possible defensive midfield partnership right now
Maouche has proved that he has quality and can play to a brilliant standard at CAM.

Lang has transitioned to play at right wing and has been playing consistently well there all season.

Branger-Engone is being started due to him having skill to help break down teams.
#OAFC
Hunt & Taylor haven’t been good enough all season, and Nepomuceno is filling a gap whilst still being able to be very good overlapping.

Edmundson and Clarke are a strong centre back partnership who know each other’s play styles to a T so should be playing together.

A thread. Source SunSport Ken Lawrence article.
Oldham boss Richie Wellens is working in a climate of chaos as he bids to save Athletic from the drop. He takes his 5th bottom side to Northampton tomorrow, knowing a win will guarantee survival.
But if they fail to notch 1/
p a victory they know Rochdale are waiting in the wings to condemn them to League One with a better result. The season began with 7 straight defeats under John Sheridan. If it ends in defeat then Sheridan could be sacked too.
Yet the events of the past week underline the 2/
difficulties he has faced under new owner Abdallah Lemsagem, who took over in January.
The problems are such that the Football League have been monitoring te situation.
And former owner, Simon Corney(right), who sold the club to Simon Corney for around £3 million is 3/
