1/5 I have started work to give my Obsidian plugins some love, starting with BRAT. This is the Beta Reviewer's Auto-update Tool for @obsdmd.

It helps with installing, testing, and updating plugins under development. #TfT #Obsidian

obsidian.md/plugins?id=obs…
2/5 It is a tool for side-loading plugins that are in development. It helps developers diagnose issues with their plugins and get feedback from testers.

The challenge with Obsidian is for many users it's a painful process to install a plugin manually, BRAT makes it easy.
3/5 BRAT does a lot more though, it also has tools for quickly opening the @github repository for any plugin available in the Obsidian ecosystem.

This makes it easy to jump to repos for reading docs and working with developers.

A month ago I began using @obsdmd as my core note-taking app.

At the one-month mark, my Top-10 resources for getting started with #Obsidian:
⬇️
1) Obsidian Starter Kit, by @dSebastien developassion.gumroad.com/l/obsidian-sta…

This is how it all got started for me. The kit costs 14.99 Euros.

It installs an Obsidian Vault and provides an extensive User Guide, stored as a Notion database.
2) A free alternative is @_MikeSchmitz's Obsidian Starter Vault thesweetsetup.com/rm/obsidian-st… named 'PKM LM'

After installing the Vault, begin with 'Start Here' note

Compared to Sebastien's Kit, Mike is a bit higher-level with e.g. a note for "Intro to Personal Knowledge Management"

Did a quick study of Productivity - Project & Task Management apps today. Will post in detail below this tweet as a thread later in the day. After reviewing over 20 apps, here are the final contenders.

0. @NotionHQ
1. @todoist
2. @MicrosoftToDo
3. @Asana
4. @culturedcode
On the same note, there are over 100s of project & task management apps, to-do list apps. It's easier to drown in the available list of choices. Yet, only very very few apps make it to the top of the list as usable, viable, and more convenient. Why? I ll list the factors here.
So, the final contender list has changed. Here are the final contenders.
1. @asana
2. @MicrosoftToDo + @Outlook
3. @Google Tasks + Calendar
4. @Anydo
5. @NotionHQ

Honorable mention - @culturedcode (paid app, but super slick and amazing UX and ticks the right boxes).

Project Xanadu⋯⋯

A thread on book reading, annotations, highlights, exports.

I have been using #Obsidian and creating a workflow around the app @obsdmd. These pieces of softwares can be helpful to Roam users also as most functionalities are similar. So, #RoamCult and #Obsidian fans, here we go.
The point is to make things frictionless and seamless. Anything that takes even 2 steps away from natural flow, I am out. I am predominantly a laptop user, so it's driven from that point of view. Although I ll place android options also in this thread.
I am a mac user, so this is mostly driven by mac apps. Please do pitch in windows alternatives. First of all, this app called ClearView (macupdate.com/app/mac/47325/…)

It has tabbed reading like a browser. Once annotated, you can read the highlights on a separate notes section.
