What is driving the FS Industry to invest more in #GRC &/or ERM Technology?
@irmglobal @IRMIowl @ERMAcademy
Let me try to answer this question in a generalized manner. So, its applicability extends beyond banks, risk insurance and asset management firms.
I think ERM Systems and/or the GRC Systems have now become more regulation oriented across different legal compliance jurisdictions.
Kindly, do note that the ERM/ GRC Models being used are not always the same. Different Industries identify, measure and apply risk controls in an entirely different manner from one another.

If the connotation of risk is an intertwined concept and is difficult to quantify, how does a Risk Officer look at it?
Is there any way other than using copula models to determine systemic risk with long tails or a black swan event?
@CQFInstitute @GARP_Risk @SOActuaries
I guess we are worried about Market and Credit Risks or other interrelated financial risks which can create conjoint loss given events.
Any #Gaussian distribution model will enable you to model and predict potential Operational, Liquidity and Balance sheet AL - (Asset - liability) Mismatch, Market and Credit drove losses under normal market conditions.

Two thoughts: (1) any system where information *for care* does not flow along #CarePathways is fundamentally broken. Once that DOES work properly, abstracting useful/necessary #statistics for planning & #response becomes far more possible/likely...
(2) As #COVID19 has shown, any '#MinimumCareDataset' MUST contain #operational as well as #health data - and must distinguish #health & #care too. Also, focusing just on '#datasets' is too many layers up the #stack; what about the #dictionary?
#Investment in #SocialCare as an #InformationSystem (which every complex system basically is) lags health & the NHS by 3 - 4 DECADES.

If that's not an opportunity for massive #innovation, #transformation and *avoiding past errors* then tell me what is. Allowing #BigTech et al...
